1860 Jefferson County Census:

August-35 years old Gardener from Hesse, Margaret-26 years old from Baiern, Nich-4 years old, and Henry-2 years old. Living with them is a John Wirt who was 30 years old and from Wurtemburg. Note that he was living in Jefferson County close by John Westermann who was also a Gardener. This John Westermann is the same one I believe to be my Gabriel Westermann's brother.

1870 Jefferson County Census:

August-41 years old Farmer from Hesse Darmstadt, Margaret-31 years old from Bavaria, Nicholas-14 years old, Henry-12 years old, James-9 years old, Conrad-7 years old, Gustav-3 years old, and Mary-3 months old. Living in Two Mile House Precinct, Newburg Post Office, House #32? (last number blurred).

This is found on page #6 of the census for that precinct listed above.

Note: James that is listed above is later called Louis and is buried with the name Lewis in Penn Run Cemetery.

Note concerning the 1860 and 1870 census:

The variances between the same two families is so much I wonder if the census taker did not just guess how old these people were. However, the children's ages are consistent.

Note: There were Hindle's in the Newburg Christian Church also.

Robert owned an Electrical business in Eudora Mississippi and lived there until retirement when they moved to Whitehaven Tennessee to live with their oldest son John Louis who worked for the electrical division of the city. The second son, John Nichols was in Retail Credit, the third son Richard Wayne in Electrical work with Texas Transmission Oil Co. Another son (name was left out) was age 25 and a renter with Holiday Inn Industries.
